1. What information we collect
If you contact us or request a quotation, we may collect your name, email, telephone number, property or collection location, destination where relevant, preferred date, property or job type, service preferences, job descriptions, item/access information and any images or details you voluntarily supply separately and the content of your message. We also receive standard technical data required to serve the website, such as network and security log information processed by our hosting provider. We do not ask you to submit payment-card information through this website.
2. How and why we use it
- Enquiries and quotes: assess your request, respond and take pre-contractual steps requested by you (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- Contracted services: plan and deliver any subsequent booked service and maintain related records (Article 6(1)(b)).
- Business administration and security: prevent misuse, manage disputes and improve our operational processes, where we have a legitimate interest balanced against your rights (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Legal duties: retain necessary accounting or compliance records where the law requires it (Article 6(1)(c)).
- Optional marketing: only where valid consent or another lawful PECR basis exists; the form checkbox is unticked by default, and you can withdraw consent.
3. Who receives your data
Data may be processed by the hosting provider (Cloudflare), WhatsApp when you choose to send an enquiry, and relevant service providers such as transport, storage, maintenance and subcontractor partners where necessary for a requested or booked service, under suitable safeguards. No optional analytics or advertising tools are installed in this version. The exact processors and contractual terms must be verified before launch.
4. International transfers
Some technology providers may process data outside the UK. The operator must verify the locations, applicable safeguards, contractual protections and any required UK international data transfer arrangements before activating such providers.
5. Storage and retention
Only the minimum necessary information should be retained. A suggested operating schedule is to review and delete unconverted enquiries after up to 12 months, subject to justified exceptions, and retain necessary contracted transaction/accounting records for an appropriate statutory or claims period (often up to six years). Actual retention periods must be finalised and consistently enforced by the business. Optional quote drafts remain only on the visitor's own device when enabled and can be cleared in cookie settings.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable exceptions, you may request access to your information, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Contact the trader using its verified published details. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
7. Security
We use HTTPS when deployed, validated server-side quote submissions and hosting security measures. No system can guarantee absolute security. Do not place card numbers, health records or confidential passwords into the free-text enquiry field.
8. Cookies and local storage
The site stores a necessary local record of your cookie decision. Optional quote-form drafts are stored on your device only if you choose to allow functional storage. 9. Children and updates
The services are intended for people arranging a move, not directed at children. We will update this notice when our actual services or processing change and provide legally required notifications.
